When Home Buyers get Spooked. I recently got a home under contract rather quickly. They held their home inspection and ordered a roof inspection, etc. Nothing bothered the buyer EXCEPT the home inspector said the home had a “rat infestation”…really? Infestation…the homeowner lived there continuously for the last 22 years but never saw nor smelled anything resembling a rat. There was one found deceased near the grill on the patio about a year ago, according to the homeowner; she had her pest control clean that out and they took extra measures to make sure that didn’t happen again…
This buyer missed out on a really great home and a great buy because they let the report and inspector scare them away vs. using good, old fashioned common sense.
